Ground-breaking ceremony for the new logistics hall

On October 25th, 2019, the ground-breaking for the new logistics hall was celebrated with a small ceremony at the Marktheidenfeld plant. Mayor Helga Schmidt-Neder of Marktheidenfeld, the Deputy District Administrator for Main-Spessart Sabine Sitter, the managing directors and plant managers of the neighboring companies, the employees involved in the planning and Hilite management attended.

“The new logistics hall will not only simplify processes through shorter distances between production and logistics, but is also a clear "Yes" to Germany as a location as part of the growth strategy for Europe", says Jochen Wieland, Managing Director of Hilite Germany GmbH. "Hilite contributes not only with its products, but also with its processes to leave a clean environment for future generations. With the construction of the hall, 250,000 truck kilometers and 178 tons of CO2 will be saved per year. The construction will also be carried out according to the latest technical and ecological aspects, e.g. the hall will be equipped with LED lighting and the roof will be partially greened."

The completion of the logistics hall is planned for mid-2020. The new building will comprise 5,655 m² of warehouse space and 1,007 m² of office and social space. Panattoni - a full-service developer for industrial and logistics real estate - was commissioned for the planning of the hall. The construction company Goldbeck was entrusted with the construction work.
