Hilite hands over donation to children's hospice Sternenzelt Mainfranken e.V.

 

 

 

 

Marktheidenfeld, 19.01.2023. On the occasion of the Christmas party at the Marktheidenfeld site, there was once again a raffle with many non-cash prizes shortly before Christmas. The raffle sales brought in a proud 1,100 euros. Many employees were happy to add some money to the raffle prizes. Since the money goes to a good cause, the children's hospice association Sternenzelt Mainfranken e.V., the Hilite management was happy to join in and rounded up another 1,400 euros to a total of 2,500 euros. On January 19, Klaus-Dieter Eichenseer, Managing Director and Head of Human Resources at Hilite, and Ramona Stade, representing the Works Council, were on hand to present the donation check to Karina Schwackenhofer, an employee of the hospice who has been trained as a grief counselor.

 

The Sternenzelt Mainfranken e.V. children's hospice is a private association. It supports families with children, adolescents or young adults with life-threatening or life-shortening illnesses. "In most cases, the whole family has to care for the sick child around the clock, and often for several years. In the process, the parents' relationship often suffers as well. Siblings often have to take a back seat - because there is a priority issue, the sick child!", explains Karina Schwackenhofer. There are various psychosocial and experiential educational offers as part of the support for the affected children, siblings and their parents. Also families with a parent with a life-threatening illness also find support here.
