Restructuring at the Marktheidenfeld and Nürtingen locations

The management and the employee representatives have agreed a reconciliation of interests and a social plan for restructuring and personnel adjustments for the Marktheidenfeld location. Dialogues with the works council for the Nürtingen location are currently taking place with the involvement of IG Metall.

With the restructuring measures, Hilite is reacting to the decline in orders, increased competitive and cost pressure and the profound changes in the automotive industry. “The goal was and is to be competitive in the future,” said HR manager Klaus-Dieter Eichenseer.

The employee representatives were informed about the restructuring plans at the beginning of the year. The works council was therefore able to monitor the process very closely. In the course of the year, open positions have not been replaced, some employees were able to retire, with others Hilite concluded termination agreements. In Marktheidenfeld, an agreement has already been reached and the number of actual layoffs has been reduced to nine employees.

In Nürtingen, there are also constructive negotiations with the works council, and here, too, the mandatory restructuring measures will be implemented as socially acceptable and promptly as possible.
